Tricolage exhibited at WTM London 2021

Tricolage has just attended WTM London, one of the leading global events for the tourism industry attracting more than 51,000 travel industry professionals from 189 countries. The massive travel expo was represented by more than 100 regions, with more than 5,000 registered buyers joining them from 142 countries. Being the first live event in two years (in 2020 it was entirely virtual due to the pandemic), the focus of this year’s event was about rebuilding the travel industry, with the theme “reconnect, rebuild, and innovate”.

Tricolage participated as a virtual exhibitor, being one of only about two dozen from Japan, and the only travel designer focused on sustainable travel. We met with dozens of companies and organisations, many of whom were enthusiastic about building back a sustainable and responsible future for travel and tourism. It was also very exciting to learn about what tourism boards and companies around the world are doing: decarbonising travel destinations through technology, sustaining communities through the pandemic, and delivering tangible economic and social benefits to remote rural villages.
